Born in California, Native American designer Pablo Porfirio began his career in New York after graduating from the California affiliate of Parsons School of Design, now known as the Otis Art Institute. He worked as the chief designer for several American clothing companies, as an outerwear and leather design director, such as KENNETH COLE, as it rose to recognition. His women’s contemporary brand “JUNE”, which debuted in 2003 and presented the first collection in the Meatpacking District. In 2010, he left to update the revival menswear outerwear brand MEMBERS ONLY, and then in 2012 developed a complete men’s sportswear and outerwear collection for the U.S. ARMY brand.
